Bottle. Cloudy cola-brown body, medium beige head with good retention and plenty of lacing. Aroma of raisins, banana bread, prunes and cocoa. Taste of well-done toast, roasted malts, prunes, hints of licorice and some woodsy notes. Well done.

Like it! Nice take on Dunkel. 600 ml bottle, lcbo TO. Pours dark brown, with a medium bubbly head, little retention. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Finishes with a bit of pepper. Will buy again. These guys brew some tasty beers.

Aroma of chocolate dominates, pours a rich dark brown colour with considerable foamy head. Smooth tastes of malt and clean finish. Not a lager fan but this dark lager was a treat! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Picked before Christmas, I forget where. This beer is nothing fancy, well balanced, simply good.

A very high B+ for me; a remarkable brew. Simply delicious and very refreshing.

Dark, malty, full bodied and warming without compromise. Had peppering of ripened cheese in the aftertaste.

Light fruit and raisin, a bit of bread. Tends to be sweet rather than balanced - also not very solid, tastes diluted. Tap at Only Cafe.

Sweet roasted malt, chocolate and a hint of fruity hops on the nose. Taste leads with rich balanced elements - European malt with caramel, a touch of dark berries and coffee. Doesn't become overly sweet though. Finishes with a clean but flavourful blend of dark malty tastes.
