Kissmeyer Nordic Pale Ale is an imaginative interpretation of the Pale Ale style and features a unique northern-inspired medley of ingredients. Sweet Gale, Yarrow, Dried Heather Flowers, Rose Hips, and Cranberries comprise its balanced fruit-and-herb bouquet, while a Maple-Syrup addition rounds out the complex character of the beer. The Nordic pale ale features intricate herbal nuance, moderate hop presence, pleasant dryness, and a crisp finish. A one-man gypsy brewing company, Kissmeyer Beer creates innovative beers with a distinct personal and unique character, brewed to an exemplary degree of technical quality, inspired by and often brewed in collaboration with world-class brewer friends and colleagues. Nordic Pale Ale is a pioneering style for Kissmeyer, intended to fuse the best in modern brewing techniques with ingredients that reflect Nordic and Canadian traditions.

cmacklin (3166) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 4, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2020 600ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, orange peel, lemon, flowers and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt, maple syrup, lemon rind, cranberry, grass and flowers in a dry, mild bitter, herbal hop finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty solid.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2019 On tap at brewery on an excursion to sample their beers. Pours slightly hazy orange-gold with a spritz of white head and residual lacing. Aroma: floral, honey. Flavor: honey, rosewater, berry essence (cranberry, blackberry, blueberry), maple cookies. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, somewhat creamy finish. I am generally not found of beers with adjunct flavorings, but this one is an exception. Flavors of the herbs, flowers and syrups are subdued to the point you would be hard-pressed to identify a single adjunct ingredient.

pintbypint (4303) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2019
UPDATED: APR 15, 2019 600ml brown bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with sturdy white foam on top. Citrus, herbs, wood and floral notes on the nose. Taste has cranberry tartness, woody herbs, assorted spices, spruce and grass. Slightly sweet beneath all the herbs and additives, but has a nice bitter finish to wrap everything together. Grass, herbs and wood in the after taste. I can't claim to taste every ingredient in there, but everything seems to work fairly well together. Quite interesting.

PellicleSensei9 (235) - Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 22, 2018
Bouteille.

bunget (1251) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2018
Bottle. Hazy golden body with pink notes, medium beige head with good retention and plenty of lacing. A very fruity and floral aroma: orange flowers, grapefruit candies, apricot jam, anise, mangoes, caramel and hints of yeast. Taste of grapefruit zest, orange candies, peach jam, white pepper, hints of pine and herbs. More like an APA, but a good one.
