UPDATED: OCT 16, 2020 Usually a Beau's Fan. This one confuses me. Seems a bit sour, must say it was OK. But will pass next time

Pours clear mahogany with a three finger light tan head. Aroma is dried fruit and faint roast. Taste is light plum, moving to roast and light cherry. Finish is light roast. An OK stout.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2018 600 ml bottle, lcbo. Nice drinkable sweet stout. Pours not as dark as I was expecting, clear dark brown. Medium carbonation with nice head, some good retention and glass lacing. Aromas and flavors of chocolate and biscuits. Finishes mildly sweet. Good but a tad expensive for what it is. Would drink again.

I just love this beer. Very smooth, great pour. Balanced and refreshing. Perfect milk stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An impressive milk stout, though the genre's far from being one of my favourite go-to's, I'll gently put it that way. Still was very satisfying and I definitely wouldn't mind one or two crossing my path again. A solid B- in my books.

Bottle from Table and Vine. Dark brown with lasting head and lotsa lace. Fruity raisin fig aroma with some chocolate. Sweet with lotsa of fruity yeastiness and some thin chocolate with medium but long earthy woody coffee bitterness. Light body borders on watery slick where I expected creamy. I'm not an expert on milk stout, but this is not entirely pleasant.

Tap at Cole's in Buffalo. Pours black. Aroma is smoked wood, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is slightly charred wood, chocolate, lactose, dark roast coffee. Nice job.

Really loved this beer. Not overly sweet like other stouts. Clear, dark brown color with a reddish tinge and a average, tanned head. Aroma of roasted, dark malts, licorice, little bit of chocolate, lactose, a tad sour. Taste is sweetish, chocolaty, hints of coffee, appears rich. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is more fruity, stronger chocolate, like cooking chocolagte, no sweetness but caccao taste.

Bought a Milk Stout, got an Irish Red. The disappointment is beyond words. I really hope it was just a bad bottle, but for now, as I'm supposed to rate a Stout, there it goes.
