COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer that helped build our brewery; Bell’s Amber Ale features both toasted and sweet caramel notes from carefully selected malts, balanced with herbal and citrus hop aromas. Capped by a clean bitterness, it’s incredibly versatile with food, but very tasty on its own.

BroSpud (2643) - , Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2021 12oz bottle. Pours, well amber of course with a white head. Caramel notes overshadowing some more subtle citrus. Overall decent but pretty basic amber ale.

commonmac (2083) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 9, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2021 12oz bottle gifted by coworker and consumed from a large snifter glass. Color aligns with the names with relatively minimal head. Aroma is caramel, malt, and mild grassy notes. Taste brings in similar characteristics from the nose with caramel and toffee and a good toasty malt element. Nice bitterness rounds it out. All around good beer.

LagerChecker34 (66) - - JUL 18, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2020 What’s not to like about a amber. First taste is very smooth. Even better on tap. Way in the background is a IPA taste. A cloudy amber color. Bells makes good beer and this is one of them.

sschaick (17) - Chapel Hill, USA - MAY 31, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2020 12 oz Bottle. Beautiful amber ale. A malt driven mouthfeel topped by a modest head and slight lacing. Slight mango, citrus and esters. A little pear, caramel, toffee. Finishes dry. High carbonation. A nice hybrid ale/lager.

danielyabu (2248) - União da Vitória, BRAZIL - MAR 30, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2020 Average frothy offwhite head. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing. Clear dark-amber body. Aroma: moderate roasted malt, caramel, light hoppy, light tropical fruit, metallic. Initial flavor: moderate sweet light bitter. Final flavor: light sweet bitter; average duration.

hayayoshi (621) - Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2020 Caramel malt aroma. Little hazy with lots of carbonation and amber as expected. Taste is very smooth, caramel, malts, sweet, wheat at the end. 2 month old bottle and even used it in our chili!

Cristobal37 (2249) - Tustin, California, USA - MAR 19, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2020 Bottle. Pours amber red. Big toast, caramel malt aroma. Smooth bready, toffee, toast and malts brew. Its really enjoyable, but the style still lacks some bitterness for me. Give me a German helles or Czech pils if it's gonna be an easy sipper. Still well done for the style.
