MattShizzle (726) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2018UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Bottle. Dark golden color - cloudy. Mostly clean aroma with noticeable hops. Really good. Strong and super hoppy. Noticeable malt is there, too. Doesn't taste like it's 10% alcohol.
Alpha10 (1528) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 21, 2018UPDATED: NOV 21, 2018 2018/11/21 - Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a frothy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, light tropical notes, caramel and pine. Taste is grapefruit rind, caramel, bready malt, herbal notes, booze and lots of pine. Mouthfeel is medium and sticky with soft carbonation and a drying, piney, lightly boozy finish. Delicious.
TkmLinus (628) - POOLER, Georgia, USA - NOV 19, 201812 oz bottle. Smells of sweet malt and grapefruit. Color is an orange amber with a light haze to it. Fairly thick mouthfeel. Tastes sweet with a bitter kick at the end. Tastes of sweet malts followed by bitter pine. Bitter piney finish.
2OLD4BS (931) - west windsor, New Jersey, USA - NOV 10, 2018I noticed that this beer tastes way better if it is colder! At the beginning, I was confused because the same beer seemed very different on different days. Then I realized that it should be colder and then it is way better! Grapefruit with pine and a nice bitter finish. This is a complex beer. Very well put together.
MacNJ (343) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 4, 2018It’s not as hoppy as Two Hearted, Mars, or HopSlam. A little disappointed considering the Bells name and legacy. Pretty smooth for 10% though.
ccex (1960) - Lansing, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 201812 oz bottle pours a hazy amber color with small creamy off-white head that leaves sticky lacing. Aroma is full of grapefruit rind, pin resin and caramel. Taste is very bitter on first sip and in the boozy finish, with considerable malty sweetness in the middle. Body is full with average carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Perhaps it was because the bottle I tried was 4 months old, but the caramel taste was the only thing keeping this from being a great DIPA.
