MrBunn (3009) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 24, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2021 Bottle... an old one that has been in the cellar for a long time now. Pours deep, dark brown with minimal head and lovely aromas of chocolate, leather, a little red wine like fruit, a touch of vanilla, and some whiskey or barrel. Flavor has smoothed out a bit and gone a bit in the pit fruit direction - I would suspect a bit of this is oxidation in aging - but it has a decent roasty malt presence to pull it back with chocolate, peat, licorice, etc. ABV warmth is completely lovely here and makes this a true treasure. Age has done you well, my beauty!

tmoreau (7963) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 30, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 Shared 2018, 12 oz. bottle poured to my goblet at a holiday tasting showing a deepest brown color, with ruby highlighting, a presentable layer of brownish tan froth, and foamy & leggy spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, cocoa, light sweetness, woodiness, vanilla, and slight hints of vegetable and earthiness. Medium to full bodied, the taste was similar, less the veg, with modest to low carbonation, a bit of tartness & tanginess, bourbony presence, and roasted & earthy bitterness. A few hiccups, but a solid brew.

neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 19, 2018
(Tap sample @ MBCC 2017 Green Session, Copenhagen) Pours black with a medium tan head. Notes of dark malt with a lot of cacao, roasted malt, molasses, wet oak, whiskey, soft vanilla, char, nutty toast, light to moderate bittering hops. Moderately sweet at best, drying pretty rapidly with a little alcohol drydown joining the roast in that respect. Medium-full bodied, oily, fairly soft carbonation. Any Exhibition Stout is a good beer, guaranteed. This version feels like it's not quite as smooth as the Four Roses one, a bit more heat, but it's really solid nonetheless.

ICEatALAMO (1366) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JAN 7, 2018
Bottle. The pour is very dark with a nice foam over. The aroma is nice blend of booze, malt, and chocolate. The taste is pretty smooth. A little bitter upfront, but finishes very smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
