Listigovers (2149) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 24, 2017
The chinook is a bit more intense than some of the others in the series. Smells like bitter grapefruit zest, a bit of bubblegum, and sap. Almost astringent in the palate, complex hop flavour, spicy, dank, pith, and a long aftertaste. It is different but I don't quite know what to think of it, old school I guess?

Bottle from brewery. Another single hop exploration to sink my teeth into. Chinook is clearly in a lot of the IPAs I've been swilling these past years. Very familiar: cedar, resin, a little citrus & a consistant & constant bitterness. Not as expressive as other monogamys that I've studied. Hovers somewhere between decent & good.

rejtable (3928) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2017
Bottle from brewery. Pours mostly clear straw, lots of head and lacing. Nose is fruity and spicy. Flavours of grapefruit, spicy hops, some pine. Taste med/big bitter light sweet. Full sticky body lively carbonation and significant lasting bitterness to the finish.

Spab (8221) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 3, 2017
500 ml bottle from Hafis Road bottle shop. Pours a murky golden peach-tinged colour with good-sized white head. Aroma is pine resin and earthiness with a little citrus and herbal character. Flavour has fairly bitter piney hops with earthy and herbal notes and a hint of citrus zest. Not my favourite Monogamy beer, but still nice.

sudomorph (1307) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 23, 2017
Draft at Bellwoods. Pours a near opaque golden orange with a finger of near white head. Aroma has bright, juicy notes of orange citrus, mild resin and pine, and hints of bread. Taste is on the bitter side. Resin, pine, mild citrus, and a quick ending. Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Resiny in the mouth with a dry finish.

Frothmeister (900) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours a very hazy pale yellow with a white cap. Looks like grapefruit juice. On the nose white grapefruit, light Belgian Tripel/yeast notes with light tropical fruit under that. Taste wise, up front with resinous metallic bitterness, again the light Belgian yeast note, and faint undertones of papaya/passion fruit that head into an unpleasant almost freezer burnt taste, metallic bitterness then lots of citrus pith in the finish with a tiny bit of orange. I love Bellwoods, but I can't say I love this, or really even like it.

3.6
Johnsense (2252) - - SEP 9, 2017
Hazy blonde/gold pour, thumb sized head, good lacing and head retention. Aroma is slightly soapy, lots of pine and fir, grassy. Huge pine and grassy notes, floral, slightly musky, cracker malt and light bitterness. Medium to lighter body. Drinks way too easy.

kevinsenn (3112) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 23, 2016
Bottle from brewery. Dear, peach, and strawberry in the aroma. Taste is more earthy and spicy, but fruity too. Good for Chinook, but a better beer with other varieties.

GlennHendry (1029) - OSHAWA, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 19, 2016
Smells like pine and ripe grapefruit with a touch of spice. More of the same on the tongue, along with tropical fruit. Smooth and really drinkable.

3.7
thorongil2 (5905) - rootless cosmopolitan elite, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2016 (tap) hazy bright orange colour with a medium tall white head, aroma of citrus, jam, hint of dankness; balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter and mineral finish; slightly creamy palate
