COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A symbol synonymous with Bellwoods Brewery; our White Picket Fence has undergone a complete overhaul and its re-envisioned form much better reflects the direction of our brewery. This foeder fermented saison is the result of a unique blending regimen wherein 6 month aged beer is mixed with a small percentage of fresh beer, before being gently dry-hopped and bottle conditioned. Labour intensive in process, but rewarding in result. This 2018 Ontario peach WPF variant is the reason that we had to bring in extra employees this past summer, and the culprit for our staff-wide carpal tunnel epidemic (we were dumb enough to de-pit and crush 3000ish lbs of fruit by hand). The good news is, the beers you suffer most through often turn out the best -- and this one is the bestest.

robinvboyer (6570) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2022 Bottle from the brewery. Slightly hazy yellow pour, no head, beer is flat. Aroma is very funky, lambic nose. Horesey, and barny, with some lemon zest and wet funk. Peach is tough to find, but it's upfront in the finish. Extremely tart and sour. Funky with pronounced peach in the end.

Kita (3655) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAY 1, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2021 Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of barnyard, peach, cereals, sweat and pepper. Pours hazy golden color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing citrusy, peachy and vinous, following is funky, grainy and woody, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Expensive, intensive & d’fencive...

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2020 Bottle 0.5l from Beer Republic, webshop, taste at home. The Netherlands. 07.08.2020. Pour it hazy golden color with small white head. Aroma light funky notes, some citrus. Taste light refreshing, light fruity notes, light funky, easy drinkable, missing something in this one but in general really nice.

neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 10, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2020 (500ml bottle shared by Herbalist, thanks!) Pours lightly hazy bright gold with an average white head. Notes of moderately strong sweet-tart peaches with a fair amount of 'fuzzy peach skin' vibes, softly sweet ester-inflected cereals like a typical saison, light to moderate fruit and lactic lemony acidity, some subtle spicebox phenols, moderate Brett drying neutral wood, balance is quite good with light sweetness, tartness and minerality leading to a crisp, slightly peachy finish with some light dried flower and herb bitterness, a little tannin. Light to medium bodied with fairly high effervescence. I liked this, it wasn't the fruitiest peach beer by a longshot but as a saison it hit the spot on a summer afternoon.

czar (13375) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 2, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2019 bottle that pours slightly hazy light golden with a small white cap offering minimal retention and lacing. firmly tart white peach meat, wooden lemons, salty herbs, light to medium acidity - fairly lactic with firm citric/malic notes, other minerals. moderate carbonation, light body, dry and firmly tart peach-lemony finish. not that fragrant, peach-wise, but a fun (and for sure an uped version of the regular) peach foedered tart saison.
