Comfort Food in a Glass
According to the poem, there is a corner of a foreign field that is forever England. Since 1985, we’ve been turning many Albertan fields into one of England’s favourite drinks, brown ale. The go-to favourite for many, it’s become something of a legend.

Little Known Fact
One of our original three craft brews, Traditional was also one of the first English-style brown ales ever brewed in Canada... it’s still our best-known beer today.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2020 Keg at The Charlatan, Vancouver, BC on 13/09/2008. Really liked this; for an amber there was loads of flavour. Mildly spicy, some dried fruits, big cereal and gentle floral hop notes.

Didn't have the robust flavours I was looking for in a English brown ale. Was good but not great.

Tasted while on vacation in Edmonton, Alberta. 12-ounce bottle pours clear amber with no head and a spritz of light tan lacing. Aroma: brown sugar, nuts. Flavor: malt-forward with the above flavors plus an odd wet newspaper taste. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied.
