COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2020 Brown is beautiful. Hard to find a good brown ale nowadays. This is one that was good back years ago and remains. So many brews of yesteryear now suck. Not this moose. (Not to be confused with The Moose- Moosehead) Solid, quaffable, just damn good. Now in cans which makes it better.

jsporrer (1817) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2020 Pours a semi clear dark brown with an off white head. Mild aroma of caramel malts and light spices. Thin body with light lacing. Sweet taste like hazelnut or almonds. Not much roasted flavor. Finishes with a lingering caramelized sugar aftertaste. Not as good as I expected. Disappointing.

beer-yum (3530) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 14, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2019 Alluring caramel aroma a brown black pour. Tasty hop malt balance in body is both light and rich (which is quite an achievement) while the finish is clean and bitter. A fine example of the style.
