UPDATED: JAN 24, 2020 Taproom. Gold color with a thin head. Aroma like a dry mocha. Dry, wheaty flavor. Dry vanilla bean, light-roast coffee, and dry cacao nibs. Dry finish. Delicious.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2019 On tap at the brewery in Lowertown with blonderedhead after Saints game. Light golden color with an assertive coffee aromatic element leaning into hazelnut more so than roasted espresso malts. Taste falls on line with the nose bringing in coffee notes and more chocolate than anticipated. Light finish making it feel easy to drink. Nice nutty presence with only a hint of coffee roasted beans. Pretty solid.

Sampled on draught at the Birch Lake brewpub in Long Lake, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind light spotty lacing. Aroma of golden pale multi golden grain malt and both coffee and vanilla notes. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of vanilla, golden grain , whipped cream and coffee. Finish is semi-sweet with vanilla and coffee aftertaste that slowly disappears.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is coffee forward supported by chocolate with a touch of sweet grains. Flavor combines chocolate and coffee with sweet grains supporting.

Tap at the taproom. Golden pour with a white head. Cocoa and roast coffee. Bold but not overpowering. Cool beer, and very well done.
