UPDATED: JUL 30, 2019 [10743-20180808] Can. Fragrant sweet roasted soy sauce aroma. Dark cola brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet soy sauce roasted grains flavour has a burnt caramel finish. Full body. Interesting but a bit weird. (6/3/6/3/12) 3.0

2018-08-09. Very dark brown black body, small head fades. 3+ Aroma is lightly alcoholic, fruity, dark malt, red wine notes. Flavour is rich, relatively alcoholic, red wine notes. 7++ Medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Grows on me after a slightly rough and boozey first impression. 7/3-4/8/3/16 Can courtesy of duffman.

355ml can @ home on the deck. Pours an opaque dark brown colour with a tiny beige head. Nose is lightly cocoa and red berry skins. Flavour is a light mix of cocoa, red wine, and a toasted malt with a subtle acidity. Medium bodied and light carbonation. Not bad.

Can. This has a fudgey nose, with a light vinous note. On the palate, this is fairly rich on the chocolate with a toasty, vinous note, and a sweet, fruity aroma.

Can received from kbudd19. Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Moderate bittersweet roast and dark chocolate malt, vinous red wine character, earthy hops, dates, figs, prunes and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

On tap at revo. Strong and sharp with heat. Im drinking warm. Raspberry, pepper, wine yes, not enough malts. They are background and base. Chocolate. Not the best mix of flavours. Boo

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2018 cherry cola, cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, vanilla, some ashy notes stop short of char, fruity vinous notes. tastes like a fruity chocolate bar, more ash, a little booze but well concealed, the wine barrel leaves its mark

Can (355 ml) at home. Thanks to kbudd19 for this one! Pitch black with a small beige head leaving little lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, red wine, chocolate, molasses and mild anise notes. Taste is of roasted malt, red wine, chocolate, molasses, moderate alcohol, anise and mild oak spiciness. Medium body, but it feels somewhat watery at the end of the sip. Soft carbonation. Red wine finish with chocolatey notes. I usually prefer Red wine BA over Bourbon BA RIS but this time I prefer the bourbon version as this one feels a little thin and not overly complex. It’s still good though.
