UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 Pours clear Golden with a thick white head. Aroma of pilsener malt. Taste has wheat beer elements with a slight acerbic element. Palate has slight sweetness to it. Eh.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2019 This is a backlog rating from 2011 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are pale wheat malts, honey, orange citrus, watery.

BelgiskOlklub (1111) - Viby J, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2019 Light hazy body and a white foam. Aroma of wheat and some citrus but the aroma is light. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Smooth low carbonation.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2019 Looks like Blue Moon dropped 'Summer' from their Summer Honey Wheat [it's now just Honey Wheat]. They must have dropped the honey too. I expected a little more honey flavor and was disappointed to find that it was nearly non-existent. It's still a good wheat beer. It's just not a honey wheat beer.

Hazy body with medium head. Nose is sweet and citrus. Taste is fruity and malty with caramel notes. Honey comes through as well. Too sweet for me.

Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is fruit and bread malts. Flavor is sickly sweet malts and some fruit. Has a soft body. Too sweet, without much flavor. Meh.

Honestly, I think this beer deserves a higher rating than it deserves. Refreshing wheat aftertaste with the slightest hint of honey. Not overly sweet, which is a plus. Slight improvement over original flavor. Best consumed after an eight hour shift.

Well. I didn't have a cataclysmic brain aneurysm after drinking it so I consider that a success. Or not. When you're looking to shake up your feeble and ever-diminishing brain cells, load those wily bastards up on Blatz and let the good times roll.....right into oblivion. That's my kind of party.
