COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American standard, BBC APA is a full bodied and heavily hopped American Ale. It is copper in color and brewed with a blend of pale and crystal malts, balancing the citrus and pine flavors from large doses of American and English hops to create a very drinkable, hoppy ale. BBC APA is a hophead’s dream!

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2019 (tap) slightly hazy, bright orange amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of honey, dry, mineral, unbalanced bitter flavour with a long, strong bitter finish

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 29, 2017
On tap at Bluegrass, pours a hazy copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out metallic notes, piney hops and somewhat stale biscuity malt. Flavour is a bit stale, with metallic notes, stale biscuity malt and old hops. This just isn’t good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is floral and citrus. Medium body, pine, citrus, light bitter finish, good.

Didn’t take tasting notes. Just wrote down the score so I’m typing just enough words.

BillKismet (4650) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Crystal clear amber color topped by a nice frothy head that is punctured by hop pocks. Fruity and punchy hop nose. Flowery hop flavor with rose water notes that veer into baby powder on the finish. Bitter, baby powder finish.

Cybercat (10436) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 29, 2015
Pours clear Amber with a nice buff head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma is not strong, but crisp and malty. Flavor is considerably bolder, malty with hoppy and subtle fruity notes, quite enjoyable. Mouthfeel has average body and fizz, but finish is delightfully hoppy and not at all bitter. Worth a fair shake!

Straw color to amber. Good citrus hop aroma. Mild malts. Breads. Lean. But overall pretty good.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Nice aromas of floral hops, citrus and resin with some malt in there as well. Fairly well-balanced between caramel malt and bitter hops on the palate. Biscuity malt flavors appear is it comes to room temperature. Nice bitter finish.

shadey (2287) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 27, 2015
12oz bottle. It took more than 20 minutes, one foam-over, and four different attempts to pour this beer. The head never diminished, it just got chewed. Aroma is all hop resin and just enough malt sweetness to pull it together. The flavor is cloying hop resin. Absolutely no balance. Nothing I would drink again.

Draft sampler pours Amber with a off white head. Aroma of malts, citrus and pine. Taste is malts and grapefruit.
