On draft in Gaithersburg on nitro. Moderare British hop aroma. Herbal and earthy. Very low malt. No caramel. Slight diacetyl? Not unpleasant amount. Appearance is clear golden with persistent off whit nitro head. Excellent lacing on the glass Taste is hop forward. Earthy and herbal. Low bready flavor from malt. Moderate dry finish. Some bitterness lingers in aftertaste. Low carbonation (nitro). Smoother finish than I am used to in west coast pale ales. Overall a great example of British pale ale - on nitro. Nitro pour at Oriely & Conways, pours a clear amber with a creamy white head and some lacing, aroma is really sweet with caramel and a little bit of fruit coming through, flavor has a nice sweetness to it with some caramel an malt in the finish, light and easy drinking, not bad.

On tap @ Royal Oak Ottawa. Pours a clear gold with a huge, cascading, creamy, white head. Aromas are over-ripe fruit, Taste is grain, mild bitterness from the hops, and a little tinny. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, little to no carbonation, and a medium bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

It pours foam initially (and eventually a pale golden color. After several sips, the head stays throughout most of the beer. There isn’t much in the smell, but some light corn eventually comes out as the beer warms. The taste has the corn subdued underneath bitter malts. The palate is light and wet leaving a sticky finish. Overall, though a disappointing smell, the taste saves it. I’d probably come back to it.

275ml bottle from Shropshire. Vintage 1989. Clear glowing amber. A dry and satisfying beer with hints of honey, tea, toffee and tree bark. There’s a pleasant residue of tobacco hops in the finish - dark Virginia tobacco. A good sipping beer - even though only 3.8% there’s a refined richness and dignity about this that is pleasant to savour. A very rewarding and surprising experience.
