UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 750ml bottle. Dark reddish brown pour with a white head. Muted cherry bouquet. Wonderful mellow sour cherry and muted barnyard make this one a stunner. Above average body and mouthfeel. Nice barrel qualities in there.

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2019 750mL bottle at Foeders, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head - must be the darkest lambic I’ve had. Aroma is exquisite, with dark cherries, peaches, moderate barnyard funk, and a touch of leather. Flavour is divine, with loads of dark cherries, peaches, light acidity, moderate barnyard funk, and more cherries. Man, the Schaerbeekse cherries steal the show, accentuated with just enough peaches, and prominent funk. Gorgeous stuff. Doesn’t get much better.

4.3

4.5

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2019 From bottle at Wild Festival Groningen 2019. Aroma is very funky with lots of cherries, tart and sour with oak, more barnyard. Light sweet with a fairly dry finish, medium body. Amazing cherry funk, complex and funked up.
