UPDATED: JAN 11, 2022 Black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, alcohol soaked beans, chocolate, roast, vanilla, wood. Full bodied, big alcoholic coffee bean flavor, warming, good but far from their best.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2021 On tap at Bottle Logic, pours black with a small light brown head. Nose is loaded with spicy, earthy rye, medium roast, a touch of coffee, and a touch of wood. Flavour is on the more abrasive side, with intense spicy and earthy rye, medium roasted coffee and light bourbon. The rye actually makes this somewhat difficult to drink. It’s certainly well-made but the rye adds a harshness to this that makes it difficult on the palate. One of the less impressive pastry stouts from Bottle Logic.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2020 Thanks Sam for sharing! Taster showing dark brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of milk chocolate, molasses, and soft smoky bourbon. The palate is well carbonated and full bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Moderately sweet and milk chocolate forward with bourbon in the background throughout. Long alcohol spice on the finish.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2020 500ml bottle, vintage 2019, 14,09 % abv, trade with Theodor. Pours a deep black body, shiny naked surface, scattered lacing. Lovely aromas of coffee and chocolate, semi-dry. Well blended taste of chocolate-coffee supported by bread, dark fruits and molasses beneath. Lingering finish with a moderate bourbon touch warming down the swallow. Full bodied and very smooth. UPDATED: FEB 10, 2020 Draft at City Beer. Black with a medium tan head. Big big coffee aroma, molasses, H bourbon, anise, dark chocolate. Sweet cold brew flavor, bourbon, dark chocolate. Full body, low carbonation but hides the booze well.
