jamestulloch (7262) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 17, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2021 Can from Beer Zoo. Ruby body with a thick beige head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of plum, fig and woody malt. Flavour of chocolate and cherry. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Very soft fizz. This is sublime and feels like a cask beer. To try this on cask would be a real treat. The world needs more milds like this.

EdKing (3394) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2021 Can from Ghost Whale, Brixton. Opaque dark brown ale with a cream foamy head. Nose is sweet, malty, chocolate, syrupy, toffee, roasted malt, black coffee. Taste is sweet, toasty malt, chocolate, toffee, syrup, black coffee, dark fruits, prune, plum.

Hanoi (1497) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2021 Can. Nose is rich fruit, plum, raisin, chocolate, dark malts, hint of brown sugar and toffee, caramel. Taste is caramel, lots of fruit, plums, figs, dried fruit, Christmas cake, sweet malt, hints of burnt toast, malt loaf, very faint hint of earth and coffee with a little pepper. Very rare to find high strength milds, and they always seem to work. Superb and more balanced than the very sweet taste profile might suggest.

Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2021
UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 440ml can from Clapton Craft, Balham. Black with a dense tan head. Aroma is fairly subtle; five, caramel, dark malt, maltloaf and dried fruit. The carbonation is slightly odd and gives a kind of chewy impression. Sadly it reminds me of the horrendous London Beer Factory Impy stout I had last night. Nice sweetness, but not adjuncty. Grainy, malty flavours. Good depth.

LazyPyro (6007) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2021 440ml can. Almost black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark malts, raisin, chocolate, toffee. Taste is rich and malty, dark and dried fruits, raisins, plums, toffee, chocolate and small amount of roasty malts, brown sugar, bittersweet. Medium-full bodied, so creamy and smooth, fine carbonation. Probably the greatest Mild I've had, love those fruit cake / malt loaf flavours. Pint of this on cask would be beautiful.

Leighton (30699) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2021 Can at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Medium sweet, lots of rich dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, plum, raisins, low bitterness, mellow roast, burnt sugars. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more sweet chocolate, soft roast, raisins, cocoa. Very tasty.

Scopey (21884) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - FEB 26, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2021 Can thanks to my bro. It pours opaque black with a thick, frothy beige head. The aroma is toasty, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, light spice, umami, liquorice, fudge, toffee, chocolate, toffee and millionaires shortbread. The taste is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, umami, liquorice, peppery spice, charred action, nip of alcohol, dried fruits, plum, fruit cake, burnt toast, toffee and fudge with a peppery, roasted finish. Medium body and moderate foamy carbonation. Quite unique. Flavourful stuff. Robust.

BeardedAvenger (5128) - New Haw, Surrey, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2021 Can ordered from Water Into Beer, Brockley. Aroma has malty chocolate, vanilla and a pinch of liqourice. Dark and glossy cola brown - some light makes it through. Thick foamy beige head. Light-medium bitterness, which gains traction. There's an underlying sweetness there. Chocolate... mocha covered liqourice. Burnt caramel. Some berry sourness in there somewhere. Saline. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. I like. Is it a mild? Fuck it, who cares.
