COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Extra, extra? You better believe it. We like to say it’s double extra special. The balance of malt and hops makes it truly one-of-a-kind. Warming malt notes at the onset with a hop kick in the back and opens up to a nice dry finish. Our small batch ESB is a big, strong traditional ale with characteristics that break tradition and a complexity that constantly surprises.

Copper amber pout with a khaki head. Aroma of faded hops and sweet malts. Flavor was the same. Little to no caramel or toasty flavors. Hardly any fruity esters. No bitterness hardly at all. Not good, not anywhere close to style. No.

355ml bottle. A huge esb that kind of is a double english ipa at times, big hoppiness to go with a big maltiness.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is nutty with caramel and dough notes, as well as a slightly medicinal funk. The beer is dark and oily looking with a caramel colored hue, and a generous fluffy, off white head that has decent retention and lace. The taste is a medium, malty sweet and medium light bitter that strengthens to medium near the end of the drink. The beer is fairly thick and syrupy with a light, fizzy carbonation and a medium full roated body flavored with bread and figs / raisins and a bit of a bitter wax note. The finish has a spicy zip leading to an aftertaste that’s waxy and cloying with flavors of fig and warmed caramel with a hint of wax.
