COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtlety. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts -- and just a kiss of bittering hops -- to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, any-time beer. Aromas of pale grains, a semi-sweet middle and a clean-as-Colorado-snow finish make this our best-selling beer.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2022 Another airline delay. Fortunately DIA has a centurion lounge and beer on tap. This avalanche stuff will definitely help pass the time. Delicious.

Cakes (695) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2021 Twelve ounce can. Pours a brownish-orange color with a nice frothy head that dissipates. Has a caramel, somewhat soapy aroma. caramel malts with a thin mouthfeel. Looks better than it tastes, but only finishes as a average ale.

jwil (120) - Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 13, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 Dark amber pour as the name would suggest. Smell of caramel and malt. Head diminished quickly. For an amber, this is rather dry on the finish - influenced by the pale blend, perhaps. Mostly light body with a fizzy carbonation. Not sweet nor very bitter. I don't find this one particularly interesting. It's smooth but it also comes off as a tad thin. Wouldn't strongly recommend.

2.4
sawbuck (1232) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2021 Mild aroma of caramel malts. Reddish orange color with minimal off white head. Sweet malt up front. Dull sweetness with not much character.... some beady flavors. Bitterness is one dimensional... slight hint of pepper. Super thin with bland finish. Meh.

comntbeerman (37) - - DEC 5, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2020 Dark Carmel brown color. Malty aroma. Sweet, nutty, caramelized malt flavor. Light hop bitterness.

tntracey (322) - Hood River, Oregon, USA - AUG 17, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2020 12 oz can poured into a pickle jar. Third type of beer tasted from a 15-can variety pack. Can't get excited about this one. A big boring disappointment. Really, how hard can it be to brew a tasty amber ale? It's too bad that BB sold out to the 'beer devil!'

2.6
Beerdedone (4044) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2020 Can. Pours amber with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, toast and grains. Flavor of toasted malts, caramel, light fruit and had some notes of nuttiness.

2.5
DocJitsu (2550) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - MAR 10, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2020 Pours a golden-amber with a thin white ring instead of a head. Clean fruity and lightly toasted malt nose with a smooth metallic note. Ripe fruit and and a more prominent toasted malt flavor. Pleasant mouthfeel.

3.7
bdleedahl (4795) - , Saxony, GERMANY - MAR 4, 2020
