UPDATED: DEC 27, 2021 Can. Near black with small tan head. Flavours of cocoa, coffee bean, red fruits, vanilla, earth. Taste is medium sweet, slightly bitter. Pretty good.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2020 Almost black with a creamy, beige head that lingers. Aroma full of tonka beans and vanilla. Lebkuchen underneath. Very dessert-like. Taste is quite sweet with a mildly sour finish that feels out of place. Lingering tonka. Medium, almost full-bodied, mild carbonation. Overall, the additives are firmly in control. For the most part they meld. Good for the style.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2020 Opaque black beer with opaque black beer with a slight/medium brown head. Heavy aroma; taste starts medium/heavy sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Vanilla, tonka, chocolate and roasted malts. 9/5/9/4

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2020 330ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma: sweet, coconut, vanilla, liquorice, cocoa, liquid chocolate cake. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, roast malts, dark chocolate, coconut, tonka. Medium+ body, soft carb, nutty finish. Very decent flavours for the ABV, and not excessively sweet.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2020 25Apr2020 Intense dark chocolate, dark chocolate cake, praline tonka beans. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light to medium sweet. More dark chocolate, sweet, dark roast malts, tonka beans, chocolate cake, soft carbonation, full bodied.Very nice. Can from Beer Ritz.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2020 Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours very dark, beige head. Aroma is pleasantly sweet, some soft chocolate, vanilla hints. Soft light palate. Gentle chocolate presence to taste, not getting a lot of coconut, perhaps a little vanilla sweetness.. not quite hitting the mark for what it aims to be, perhaps keg would've been different, but it's a pleasant dark cask stout.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2020 Pitch black color. Dark brown head. Nice semi sweet nose with chocolate cake doused in vanilla. Low carbonation, low medium bitterness, medium roastiness but balanced with nice sweetness and excellent chocolate and tonkoko bean character. Almost got this lovely nuttiness to it that I like a lot. Very unique. Love it

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2020 Can from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours near black with a dark beige head. Aroma of coconut,dark chocolate, wholemeal brown bread ,raisin & leather. Taste of more coconut,Tonka beans,dark chocolate,wholemeal brown bread, raisin a little mint & caramel. On the light side of medium bodied with a sticky,creamy mouthfeel & ok carbonation. The finish is dry and sweet with more dark chocolate,coconut,brown wholemeal bread, leather ,,raisin ,caramel & slight mint.
