Bottle share thanks to Toby. Dark for a strong pils, lots of malt, roast grains present but subdued. Bittersweet.

Bottle. Dark colored beer. Tan head. Smell is full of dark fruits and roasted malts, some hops noted, but not much. Taste is easy drinking, rich, without much abv noticed. Good beer really. Most all of the stone collaborations are.

Backlog - Bought at Systembolaget. The dark malt aromas dominate with a packing punch of hoppy aromas on the back end. Loved the bottle art.

Bottle sample at a tasting at tom’s place. Thanks ariel. Old bottle, at least from 2009. Dark brown-black with tan ring. Sweet aroma - some nuts, raisins, raspberry and marmite. Sweet, very faint coffee taste. No carbonation, full body, long finish. Interesting.

Rated from backlog. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Very dark brown, almost black. Smells of anise and licorice. Strong licorice taste. Thick. Alcohol on the finish.

7/17/2010. From bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of alcohol, roasted malt, dark fruit and hops. Not bad at all.

Bottle thanks to a generous trader. Pours dark brown to black with a hkgaki colored head of foam. Aroma is burnt grain and a tint of sourness. Taste is grainy and sort of spicy. A hot alcohol aroma comes through strongly. A little rough of a palate.

Måste ha fått ett måndagsexemplar. Smaken lyfte kraftigt komplext men var väldigt spretig och visste inte var den skulle landa. Lite avslagen och unken i eftersmaken.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2013 35,5 cl bottle @ HBF. Rated on 20.08.2010
Aroma is rather hoppy with exotic fruits, some nettles and hints of gooseberry bush. Flavour is slightly sweet with rather aggressive American hops, exotic fruits, nettles and an ashy feeling. No signs of pils here, but good stuff anyway.

Off the charts. My favorite beer ever. Still looking for it on shelves but I’ve cleaned out my local shops. Solid brew, heavy but hopped heavy for some lilt in the mouth feel. Blackberry, blueberry, oaky malt, an almost medicinal feel on the palate and it seems to have restorative properties for the body.
