Very lucky to have the chance to try this one. A 12 oz bottle that is hand decorated with a gold puffy paint/glue. Just a picture of a shark and 22/30 (only 30 12oz bottles of this were released) Pretty cool! a- dark but not black, a bit of lacing from a thin film head s- It’s like being under a car. motor oil and burnt rubber t- burning tire, tobacco, motor oil, whisky and you know what? I like it! A "Manly" Brew if ever there was one. MD- Thinner than the taste and smell would have made me think, but a much cleaner aftertaste as well. No toverly drinkable but with each sip I did want a bit more.

Bottled. Tnx Vaiz & dEnk. The aroma has peated whisky, coffee, roast. Black coloured beer with a beige head. The taste is a bit sweet, has a lot medicin, some coffee. Ok.

Bottled, thx to Vaiz and dEnk. Opaque color, short head. Big aroma of peat, iodine, whisky, hint of roasted malt shimmering through the huge islay wooden perfume. Strong dry peated whisky taste on a roasted malty RIS. Quite dry, but very good if you like these strong islay whiskeys.

Bottle@Home, 22/30. Loads of peat and coffee in the aroma, promising. Complex flavours, whiskey, peat, fruits and bitter. Mouth feel is strange, sparkling yet soft and thinnish.

Had this one at the UDRBM, 31-07-2010. Bottle 27/30. Black colored brew. Loads and loads of iodine and peat in the aroma. Flavor has some hops, licorice, iodine, peat and some malts. Really hard to drink, but interesting.

Bottle 27/30 (won with Brewdog photocontest, thanks again!) @ meeting. Deep dark black pour, medium tanned head. Huge iodine and peat aroma with whiskey, earth and more peat. Flavour is huge whiskey, peat, iodine, very intense, way more smooth than expected from the aroma. The longer you leave it out, the more smooth and rich it becomes, initial harshness fades away and hands out a really rich earth, whiskey and peat flavour, lingering for ever. This is silt, iodine and peat to the max, in a very good way. Too bad only 30 bottles were made.

33cl Bottle at UDRBM, thanks for sharing Vaiz and dEnk! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of bandaid, iodine, peat, alcohol. Flavour is sweet, earth, liquorice, iodine, hard roasted malts, earthy finish with iodine. Medium bodied. Too much, too salty.

Bottle at Dutch RB Meeting. Bottle 27/30. Won at the Brewdog Photo Contest. Massive thanks! Thick pitch black pour, thin creamy tan head that leaves lacing. Aroma is iodine all over, massively peaty, dark fruits, smoke, salt and whiskey. Flavor is bitter, salty, massively peaty and with loads of iodine. Very medicinal and heavy but still quite awesome. Creamy texture and average carbonation. Massive brew, can understand it’s not something everybody would be able to enjoy, but I definitely do.

Bottle at Chris’ Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia tasting. Thanks to Craig for bringing this one along. Peaty, touch of TCP and burning tyre aroma. Islay all over it. Touch bleachy too for me. Blackcurrant fruit. Islay is just not my thing.

ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Big thanks to Craig for sharing bottle 22/30 and also a big thanks to Melissa Cole for donating to Craig! Opaque dark brown beer. Good light brown head. Smells like an old tire with some engine oil! Light soft dry palate. Sourish whisky, a little peaty. A whisper of chocolate and a little rubber! It’s a grower. Rumours abound this is Paradox 004 in Sharks clothing but having tasted that very Paradox about 10 days before I can’t see it. This is much darker and with more whisky and a completely different nose whereas the 004 was remarkably fruity and altogether lighter than this beast!
