Noctilucus (114) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - AUG 1, 2020UPDATED: AUG 1, 2020 Clear blonde, decent head of white foam that quickly disappears, strong carbonation.
Aroma of grapefruit, slight tropical touch, hoppy.
Taste follows the nose: strong hoppy bitterness, grapefruit, a little sour too. Really solid for its strength, definitely in a different league than many 'sessionable IPAs' around 4%
Aftertaste consists mostly of the lingering hop bitterness.
A much better and bolder example of the style than many other Belgian light / session IPAs
Medium body.
Smaak: klein zoetje, aangenaam fruitig hoppig, exotisch fruit komt efkes terug, tikje moutig, mooie hopbitterheid. Droog.
Heel goede dorstlesser, prima in zijn genre je denkt niet dat het zo laag in alcohol is.

Alengrin (9649) - Gent, BELGIUM - APR 26, 2017New IPA by Broers, sampled at ZBF 2017. Moussy, snow white head, quickly collapsing in the middle to a bunch of thin ’islands’, golden robe with warm peachy hue, hazy. Aromatically hoppy, even slightly ’dank’ aroma of pink grapefruit, tonic water, rainwater, dried mango, sweet paprika, orange zest, bread. Crisp onset, sharp and minerally carbonation, dry mango and green banana flavours, slick mouthfeel with a cereally, grainy pale malt body. Aromatic and adequately bittering hop finish, resinous and grapefruity, bit tonic water-like, drying. Credible as a modern, even internationally aiming IPA, a tad overcarbonated, but honestly way better than I expected.

Pours hazy amber.
Aroma is tropical fruit, citrus, lots of hops.
Body is medium, supports the flavours, still tropical, good residual sweetness. Lingering fruity palate. Good, especially for this low ABV!
