colui72 (3437) - Yuen Long, HONG KONG - JUN 4, 2021UPDATED: JUL 2, 2021 Black currants on the nose, with malty notes of roasty grain, wild yeast funk andfruity esters. Very different indeed!
Pours very dark brown close to black, a tan head with a purple-ish hue lost in browness. Small head, but high retention and pretty laces.
Tart, but not acidic, weird, it has a stout character (roasty and caramelly), the black currant, and the wild sourness with fruity esters and a touch of funk. Impressive.
Smooth, creamy, soft, well carbonated, very easy on the palate.
Excellent and unique wild-sour stout-fruited ale. Call it as you wish, but it remains excellent!
