COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep copper in color with rich toast and nutty flavors, balanced with a floral, spicy bitterness from Hallertau Hops. Altbier, meaning "old beer," is the darker cousin of Kölsch and another of the few indigenous German beer styles. Sail the ship. Chop the tree. Skip the rope. All Together Now.

tmoreau (7963) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 8, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Draft at the BubbleHouse taproom as a flight serving showing a deep mahogany color, with a decent layer of off white froth that produced a modest ring, light film, and doily-like cling to the lacing. The nose was malty, with modest toasted & roasted qualities, a hint of baker's cocoa, a bit of dark, dried fruit, and subtle spice. Medium bodied, the taste was similar notes, with lively carbonation, some earthy bitterness, and a somewhat dry finish. Nice 'secret' alt complexity.
