tmoreau (7963) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 8, 2022UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Draft at the brewery taproom as a flight serving, showing a clear golden, nearly amber hue, with a bubbly layer of soft white froth, and spray-like cling to the lacing. The nose was malt, a mix of citrus & pit fruits, with a hint of pine. Medium bodied, the taste was similar notes, with decent carbonation, well integrated alcohol, citrus, rind, and slight resin bitterness, and a dry, crisp finish. A welcome, old school IPA.
DrnkMcDermott (3730) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - DEC 28, 2021UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 5 oz. taster. Solid smell of a West Coast IPA. I'd dare to compare this to a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which I'm sure was the idea. Solid caramel color with a brownish ring of foam. Taste has a nice load of hop, but lets the malt stand side-by-side.
For a brewery open for only 6 weeks when I made my way out here, I'd say the brewer has his styles firmly in hand.
crossovert (17015) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 5, 2021UPDATED: DEC 5, 2021 Draft. Orange pour. Nice peppery citrus aroma, flavor is dry and hoppy but lacking in firm bitterness. Decent but could use more of a hop smack in the face.
