Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt dark orange almost amber color with a two finger white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had some sweet and spicy rye up front with a little bit of clean caramel and toffee malts steadying themselves into some dark fruits and a little bit of brown sugar. Light grassy hops. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side initially indicating a delicate dark fruitiness playing underneath. Aftertaste was malty with the dark fruits. Finish was quick and malty. The palate was between light and medium bodied. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, I liked it for me, but was wishing there would have been a bit more of the rye in the flavor.

Draught at the brewery, 7/16/16.
Deep auburn with a light mahogany and a beige head atop that is small and shows moderate to low retention. High clarity.
Fruitiness and spiciness from rye and hop is nicely apparent in the nose as lightly toasted grain character shows light sourdough but is quickly balanced by softer, honey-laden base malts. Clean, no alcohol.
Similar red berry/red fruit-like flavors in the mouth, with cream, grain and soft black pepper all working towards a grainy, lightly sweet finish that has nuttiness and herbal/floral hop notes, lightly. No alcohol or flaw. A bit low on the carbonation or perhaps it’s just a bit loose, but still a very competent, drinkable rendition.

Picked this up while visiting the brewery today. Pours a clear golden/amber color with a white head. Aroma is of dusty malts, metal, some yeast, very little rye, and a little soap. Less carbonated palate. It’s a little heavier and slick feeling. Flavors are of malts, dark fruit, a little bit of hops, and very slight rye. This is very mild and almost watered down tasting. Leaves a slightly dry rye and malt finish. Nothing special here.

Spice fruit aroma. The bronze body has only thin film of a head to top it off. light bitterness in the start. Light smooth malt taste with a hint of fruit sweetness in the background. Clean finish. Decent offering

Pours a dark amber with a small white head. Fruity on the nose, berry like with a hint of rye spice. Light bodied, light carbonation and easy drinking. Has a nice balance of fruit and rye flavors, not overpowering. A solid offering
