Trolleo (6614) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 Bottle as Festive Christmas Porter. Mild roasted malt and caramel aroma. Clear dark brown color with minimal tan head. Really watery and mild taste, subtle chocolate and roasted malt, bit more caramel. Thin body, watery, soft carbonation. Bet it would be better on cask.

dragnet101 (2331) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2021 Bottle of 'Festive Christmas Porter' which redirected me here. Santa is well pissed off with such label swapping. Pours a dark brown. small beige head, minor retention. Aroma of liquorice, cherries, chocolate, toast. Interesting. Taste is light roast, chocolate, mixed dried fruit and cherries, minerals. Moderate roasty bitterness at the end. Light bodied so loses a bit of depth. A bit mixed but overall I enjoyed it.

Martinsh (1348) - Crewe, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2021 Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a dark red-brown with a small cream head. The nose is creamy with added chocolate. There is a rough bitterness in the mouth with roasted malts and liquorice to the fore. Underneath there are molasses, cherries and chocolate. Finish is bitter – almost sour. A pretty good porter.

simontomlinson (4357) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2021
UPDATED: APR 18, 2021 Rocky light brown head left a spotty cover on deep mahogany coloured still body. Malt & dark chocolate aroma. Smells delicious! Medium bodied, smooth & creamy with a lighter clean finish. Malt, liquorice, chocolate & nutty tastes with a fruity finish. Proper Old School Porter - Excellent

Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2019
500ml bottle in 2013. Dark brown with a vanishing beige head. Aroma of chocolate, raisins and earthy grain. Flavour is initially decent, with dark malt and dried fruit, but then turns quite unpleasant with astringent and wet grainy notes. Very thin body.

Grumbo (14439) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2019 Bottle, from historic notes. Sourced from a shop in Burton. Poured almost black with a beige head. Looked the part. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, hint of berries, liquorice and ash. Moderate roasted bitterness. Quite light bodied. Not bad.

biilz (1529) - SPAIN - AUG 1, 2019

3.1
deanso (14471) - Doncaster, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2019 50cl bottle from Pastures Discount Foods. Thick creamy beige head. Clear deep amber pour.
