COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porkslap is a new interpretation of the English Pale Ale with a hint of fresh ginger spices (and without their tendency toward cross dressing). It’s balanced, not overly bitter, easy to drink and incredibly refreshing. We brew PorkSlap with two row barley and a little chocolate malt for color. It pours orange and crystal clear with a frothy white head. If your nose is working, you might get a little malty whiff that soon gives way to pure thirst quenching goodness and happy satisfaction. The finish is clean, crisp and dry, and it plays really nice with spicy food like tex-mex, bbq or hot wings. Go ahead. Slap that pig.

355 ml can, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.3%. Deep golden to copper colour, only slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, stale jam and spices including ginger. Citric and thin mouthfeel. Sourish flavour, some citrus, stale jam again, moderate ginger. Not good. Won't buy again.

12 oz single can from Total Wine & More - Springfield (VA). Deep golden appearance with mild haze and a small white head. Mild aroma of malt syrup, some caramel/toffee and light hoppy notes. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Light and watery on the palate with a bland finish. OK.

25.01.2018, 12 oz can @ home:
Small fizzy-creamy longlasting head, slightly cloudy. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, wet lawn, minerals, grain, dusty ginger, old wash cloth, raw cabbage, old cellar, paper, moss. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, weeds, sour grass, dried grain, old sour wash cloth, ginger, bloodlike minerals, bark, paper, fruit stones. Medium bitterness, watery and harsh sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Crap!

Thanks to SinH4! Happy B-day. ½ Pint split by two @ Waterloo Tap. Clear golden. Nose is mellow caramel, toffee, sugar basic herbal; taste is weird herbal cereal, toffee, sugar, rather empty bodied in taste and body. Bland and rather weird but not as terrible as the score on here suggests in my opinion.

Can enjoyed at home
Messy copper, thin beige head. Smell of bready malts, faint hops, hints of ginger. Moderate sweet, a gentle clean flavor of ginger, bready malts, hints of tea and citrus hops, quite plain otherwise. Moderate bitter. A nice twist with the ginger, but it’s just to mellow and non agressive
