cage.79 (455) - Worcestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2019UPDATED: MAR 16, 2019 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Labelled as Buxton Extra Stout. Pours pitch black with brown head that laced around glass. Classic export stout profile; burnt toast, leather, black coffee, really bitter but not harsh. Long lingering aftertaste that sweetens in the end. Seriously good beer. Similar to (and up there with) Kernel’s take on this style and Redchurch ‘Old Ford Export Stout’ which is a high compliment! Lovely 😊
Beer5000 (9502) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2018UPDATED: DEC 13, 2018 Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small tan head. Nice, strong aroma of dark malt, chocolate, coffee and smooth roast. Flavor is a bit sweet, dark, smooth roasted malt, balancing bitterness, chocolate and a little touch of soy in a nice way.
