UPDATED: APR 26, 2020 Aroma : Toasted sweet toffee maltiness, some soft red fruits, merest hint of smoke/spice note with an earthy hoppy note. Taste : As aroma. Decent bitter-sweet balance with a dryish hoppy finish. Decent session beer at its relativly low 4.1%

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2020 500ml bottle from Tesco, Watford and drunk on 03/07/2006. A fairly sweet beer, and big on the malts. I’m sure I’ve had it on cask, when it’s a bit nicer, but the bottled version is sound.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2019 Bottle sampled at omhper, thanks. Light brown lasting head. Clear amber color. A bitt butter and wood aroma. Sweet caramell taste.

Butelka 500ml jako Edinburgh Castle. Miedziany kolor z delikatnym rubinowym refleksem. Piana obfita,lekko palona o drobnych pęcherzach,opada dość szybko. Aromat słodów,karmelu,toffi,melassy,i czerwonych suszonych owoców. W smaku karmel,rodzynki,melassy,susz owocowy,ciastka i skórka chlebowa.malo tutaj ciała i dominujących akcentów. Piwo jest bardzo pijalne lecz niezapamientywalne....

Tried this Edinburgh Castle which I think is the same beer. Deep mahogany colour creamy tight head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and fruity plums hint of spirit. Taste to follow classic sweet scotch beer style with fruity/bitter balance. Very Nice.

Clear light brown liquid, large head. Strong aroma of malt. Light body, hardly any carbonation. Taste of stout, a bit sour.
