UPDATED: NOV 1, 2020 Medium body. Crisp. Nice toasted malt on the finish. Really clear expression of the Vienna style. Very well done.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2020 This is a backlog rating from 2013 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are toasted malts, caramel, earthy, nutty, thin.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2019 Nothing to complain about this beer. Another great Amber beer. Brad would love it. Had it on tap and I didn't like it. But out of a bottle it's very good.

Representing my second or third most favorite lager style, Wisconsin Amber does a good job of hitting the notes I like about Vienna lagers. For example, I smell mostly malt. I taste it too, but there also is some dark dried fruit in there. Most important of all, it is refreshing without using lots of hops.

Pours clear amber with a small off-white head, light lacing. Aroma of caramel. Flavor of caramel and fruity
Ok, nothing to write home about

commonmac (2083) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 15, 2017
12oz bottle shared by Prior Lake crew. Color is a lighter amber with minimal white head. Nose is malty and caramel. Very mild. Taste carries the mild flag forward without much fanfare. Toffee and caramel present. Malts are there but not overly sweet. Little bitterness at the end. Drinkable but forgettable. Check the "tried it once" box and move on.

Copper with a white head. Sweet toasted malts throughout with light grain. Medium bodied. Mild but sharp cardination. Easy going Lager but slightly too much grain.

Can from Tavour pours a darker amber color. Aroma is bready malt with a little caramel and citrus. Medium body, a little spritzy. Flavor is malt leaning, with a touch of back end bitterness. Caramel, cracker, nuts, grapefruit. Everything subtle and light.

Light creamy mouth feel with a low carb. very straight forward sweet caramel malts, nothing too complex, however I don’t think its a bad thing. simple but nice.
