COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each autumn's hop harvest presents an opportunity to assess yearly variation in flavors. Some are broad across all the plants in a region, others are specific to unique clones and certain farms. Each fall we choose two different varieties to add to our Harvest Ale. The first we receive straight off the bines and add it wet in the whirlpool. The second we add whole cone as a dry hop. Our base is a simple pale with a touch of rye spiciness to be seasonally appropriate with enough heft to support the selected hops while otherwise existing to flaunt the year's crop's nuances. Harvest 2017 was wet hopped with Hopsteiner Experimental #07270 from B.T. Loftus Ranches. Drink Harvest because it is a fresh taste of things to come.

Draft. Nice golden pour with white head. Super hoppy, grassy, juicy aromas. Flavors are crisp and thoroughly hopped. Nice drinking beer.

Tap at HOB, pours a clear gold with medium white head and not much lace. Notes of astringent ash, shampoo, Belgian fruit or spice, cardboard, ash tray, rye, and oxidized or crappy hops. It's kind of ridiculous how much better Kane is than Carton these days. Wasn't always the case, but the last year or two of Carton releases have been abysmal

32 ounce crowler from SRI Liquors in South Plainfield, NJ. Number one with a bullet. Hazy, honey gold color with a rocky beige head. Rich, buttery malt nose has hints of biscuit and citrus. First sip is bittersweet with notes of earthy grain and dank citrus hops. Middle is piney, peppery hops and lemon peel. Finishes dry and spicy because that's what Carton wants it to do. You know that for sure. Come on people now, let's all get together and try and drink Carton Harvest right now.
