Hops, spice and alcohol with a brown sugar backbone. Very different than most winter ales, but has hit most of my buttons. Orange peel and a it of booze in the finish. Well done.
reebtogi (6488) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 27, 2012355ml cam pours amber in color with a finger of white head that settles slowly to reveal a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel with some herbs and spices and a hint of vanilla. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with a moderate hop bitterness with some vanilla and spices in the finish. Medium bodied with some light carbonation. Very mild spices for a winter ale, but overall still a very nice beer that is quite tasty.
