Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, coffee, unsweetened chocolate), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a note of minerals. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Another solid, clean lager from Cerebral...three for three so far in that regard. Minerally and roasty and bitter, just the way it should be. Kinda watery but otherwise a very nice quaffer. Whoever's making their lagers is doing very promising work. I don't really care about the foeder marketing (Americans are infatuated with putting any and all beer styles into oak barrels for some reason), but it sure seems like they're making them old world-styled and that's all that matters to me!
