Bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy Ruby red color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have sweet raspberry, somewhat artificial in nature, very light tart, sweet malts, syrupy almost, just too sweet for my tastes.

Pours a clear dark red/ruby color, topped with a rather small pink(ish) head. There’s a nice soury fruit aroma - raspberries of course. Taste is sweet and fruity, berries of course, with a soury feel in the end. A decent one, really.

8.4 oz bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks decent; a translucent amberish brown with off-white head that steadily dissipates into very thin lacing. Smells mildly tart and funky with a nice raspberry presence and medium sweetness in the backbone. Tastes like it smells with a somewhat syrupy mouthfeel for the style and abv. Sweeter than I prefer my lambic, but better than its mean suggests IMO.

"pours dark pink/purple...similar to lindemans. smells and tastes of fresh tart raspberries with a bit of the lambic coming through. better than i thought it’d be seeing as how i’d never heard of it before. another i’d buy again."

I really am a sucker for the sweetened lambics. They taste like candy and I really don’t care that they don’t taste traditional. They are delicious and this one tastes like sweet and sour raspberry.

Taster on tap at Bridge in STL during RBSG. Awesome big authentic decadent raspberry aroma up front. Hazy red amber color. Thin ring of off-white head. Some decent reaches of lace. Moderate sweet taste, that’s evident even in the smell, kind of sugary. Light bit of spiciness. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Light slick texture. OK sweet fruited lambic. Awesome raspberry fruit aroma to it, very natural and tasty. Almost no tartness to it, though.

[Bottle] 2009 vintage according to label. Mahogany color with a fizzy light pink head. Aroma is of raspberry syrup in addition to cherry notes. Taste is of sweet raspberry, cherry and light grains. Dry and somewhat vinous finish cuts the sweetness down to a manageable level. Pretty good. Tasting notes from 12/2011.

375ml bottle from Binnys South Loop (Chicago, IL). Another offering rotting away in the beer fridge for what seems like forever. Pours a reddish brown hue, nearly transparent with some healthy juice-like glow throughout. A thicker pinkish head atop stays as a small filmy layer, dissipates down and laces ok overall. Aromas offer a powerful sweet and seedy raspberry feel, juicy and sweet, a bit tart overall with gentle articifial feel. A touch metallic, bready, but the potent fruit component take over. Initial is immediately a potent hit and continued exposure to sweet and tart raspberry, seedy pulpy berries offer a sweet sticky beer, raspberry juice meets a touch of cranberry, a bit tangy and tart as you start to get further in. The residual sugars almost start to get a bit offensive at this point, touches of malt base are bready, biscuit beneath but easily covered up by the sweet raspberry appeal. Backend is still sweet, a bit prickly as tartness hits here and there, but not enough to ever take the focus away from the sugar. Raspberry syrup, lingering candi sugars and a bit of artificial feel at times. This beer is very sweet, whatever sourness it offers gets covered up for the most part by the fruit addition and residual sugars. While it was an intense flavor experience, I’m not sure I could drink much of this if pressed and luckily have a wife to finish the bottle. Meh. If you like sweet fruit beers, this might be right up your alley

Bottle at home. Pours clear ruby with a small, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is raspberry, aged earthy hops, light cookie malt. Flavor is moderate raspberry, light malt and bitterness with a tartness and a sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
