COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tropical and bright with a full palate of flavor and a potency designed with moderation in mind, Jai Low IPA lowers the intensity of a typical India Pale Ale while maintaining the highest quality and hop flavor possible. All the qualities found in the finest IPAs, including citrus aromas and flavors, bread-like maltiness and a moderate, snappy bitterness are found, making this beer a deceptively tempered addition to Cigar City Brewing’s line-up of hop-forward creations. Vibrant aromas of nectarine, orange zest and lime leaf greet the nose, melding seamlessly with peach-like esters and a light, bready malt aroma. Citrus flavors of clementine and tangerine dance on the palate with a snappy bitterness, bread crust-like malt and sparkling carbonation providing balance to this moderate bodied IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2021 Canned from a sampler. Not that great, missing Jai alai notes. Like a hoppy pale ale. Watery.

Sigmund (11541) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2021 355 ml gusher can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4%, IBU 35. Orange colour, moderate white head. Dull aroma of malts and stale jam. The flavour is better, medium dry with notes of grapefruit and a sharp bitterness in the finish. Not a beer I'll buy again, though.

LagerGuide122 (803) - - NOV 4, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2021 355ml can brewed in Florida at 4%. Clear metallic orange with a nice size and fair duration head. Tangerine zest, melon rind and a little grapefruit and peach perfume in the aroma, some brown-bread malt vibes too. Moderate carbonation, reasonable pseudo-pillowy body. Dry finish, carefully not metallic. Mellow brown bread malt, peachy fruit notes with some punchy tangerine zest and a suggestion of melon rind. Not a bad zingy refresher in American style, but suffers from some of the stridence of its big brother, and one is tempted to think the paler malt style is preferable at this ABV. If you like Jai Alai, this is the session version you've been looking for.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2021 A new cigar city tick for me, and the best one that came in this hoppy variety pack. Orange color with medium white head. West coast orange and pine resin. Nice bitterness and crushable at the lower percentage

fidelis83 (3317) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - AUG 28, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2021 Slightly hazy dark gold pour with a two finger creamy to chunky white head. Aroma of surprisingly deep dank and citrus notes, light caramel, mineral and hints of fruity esters. Flavor is the same with some nice bitterness to the citrus notes. Light body, crisp feel, surprising hop acid bite, medium, sharp carbonation. Pretty good overall.

beerpat96 (8) - - JUL 31, 2021 does not count
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 Light amber colored, with a typical hazy tinge. Nice average head, with very slight retention. Typical light hoppy aromas, with a slight note of yeast and malt. Citric taste notes, with a light body, but a nice crispiness, and overall good bitterness and flavor notwithstanding the low ABV. Overall a good light option for a standard IPA, good enough to enjoy in a warm summer day.

simontomlinson (4357) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2021 Rocky white head stayed on a an unclear amber coloured body. Bitter hopped up aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp cloying back. Pine, pithy, grapefruit & marmalade tastes with a long tangy finish. So tasty considering the ABV.

Peter_L (1805) - SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2021 Gyllengul mot orange med fint vitt skum. Aromer av mandarin, apelsin och tobak. Stram neutral beska som inte matchas av något intressant.
