BuckeyeBoy (14695) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2018750ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is big crisp sweet papaya notes some citrus notes and a little bread malts. Taste is more of the nice fruit some tropical notes and a bitter sweet end.
slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2014the fruit in this was pretty subtle, especially in the nose, but it was showcased well. if this were not a slightly older bottle i think this beer would’ve been awesome. as it was, it was a little more malt forward and thicker than i’d prefer, but even with that, i enjoyed it quite a bit. if i ever see a fresh one, i’d get it in a heartbeat."
beechner224 (1024) - Ellicott City, Maryland, USA - NOV 29, 2013On tap at brewery. Pours cloudy orange. Aroma is fruit, tropics, some malt, sweet. Taste is sweet, lots for an ipa, lots of tropical fruit. Very nice, but sweetness is high.
alexsdad06 (16451) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 26, 2013750 ml bottle. Pours a nice orange amber color with a small white head. The aroma has a big tropical fruit, papaya burst with additional herbal, citrus hops and caramel malt. The flavor has a nice fruitiness, toasted bread, citrus and herbal hops with mild to moderate bitterness at the finish.
tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - JAN 13, 2013So I found this bottle yesterday, having not drank this beer in about two years.... and I was completely surprised when I opened it and it’s still hoppy... like, decently hoppy. I’m pretty sure these bottles have been sitting on a shelf for two years... anyway, pours a light copper, deep gold with white light head. Nose is decently hopped, similar to Jai Alai, with light notes of sweetness and some tropical fruits very faint in the background. Flavor is also similar to Jai Alai, but again, there’s a nice pleasant fruity sweetness. I’m really surprised that this beer held up at all in a crappy liquor store refrigerator for two years.

Clear amber beer, little white head. Soft and semi dry palate. Mild hops start, just a light bitterness. Morphs in to sweet juicy papaya and then back to hops which become more robust in their bitterness. Finishes soft with mild minerals. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Every mouthful a delight!
HarvesterOfSorrow (2863) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2012October 19, 2012 tap from the brewery. Clear orange pour with some head. Fruit, papaya and hops in aroma. Taste was the same and sweet. Creamy, medium bodied and a mild bitter finish.
Huhzubendah (3781) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 14, 2012Bottle shared by Dreadnaught33. Thanks Jonathan!
The beer is a slightly hazy, golden orange hue with a 1/4" of head that leaves a good amount of lacing on the chalice. The aroma brings pineapple and other citrus fruits. The flavor is decent and pretty well balanced. I can’t detect papaya specifically, per se, but some nice tropical fruit notes emerge. Malt presence is more prominent than I prefer, and alcohol presence is too forward, and really gets in the way of everything else. Overall, an OK brew.

DialSquare (5859) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2012Bottle brought up from the brewery by scotchzi on IPA Day and shared at Proof (thanks!). Few notes: big tropical fruit aroma, smooth Jai Alai action + papaya = awesome. Surprised this is lower rated than the base. Really really good.
jbruner (8524) - Lakewood, California, USA - AUG 4, 2012Part of the IPA day celebration at CCB. Pours a clear golden orange on tap with thin white head and decent lacing from lots of carbonation. Aroma of papaya sweetness and citrus hops. Taste follows suit, with a nice bitter finish. The sweetness is a bit over the top, but it masks the hops and abv well. One of the better fruit IPAs that day.
