COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English-style barley wine was aged for 10 months in Bourbon barrels previously used to store our Black Forest Stout collaboration with Lervig, resulting in a unique flavour profile. It's sweet and full-bodied, providing initial flavours of coconut and cherry, followed by notes of spice, oak and lime, with underlying currents of caramel and sultana.

Aroma & Flavour: Coconut and cherry compote, followed by allspice and cinnamon, with underlying caramel and sultana
Body: Full, rich and smooth
Aftertaste: Lime marmalade, apple pie, oak

HogTownHarry (8952) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - APR 20, 2020
UPDATED: APR 20, 2020 September 7, 2019 - Bermondsey walkabout with harrisoni and lagerloather - at Cloudwater, on draught. Very dark ruby-brown, huge legs on the side of the glass, not a lot of head. Very sweet and slightly sour aroma - Flemish - and then the booze and bourbon kicks in; very, very sweet, almost cloying. Taste is also sweet, more sourness and light oak comes in - not too much bourbon, but would likely be simple and tasty without the BA. Slick and acidic, still - increasing sourness and booziness ... some floaties in the bottom of the glass, not a problem, but ----- boo bourbon!
