UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Can. Beer Stop Dronfield. Deep orange amber. Moderate haze. Leggy CW swede. Looks the business. Nose has barley sugar sweets. Twist of orange. Sugary grain. Taste has a damp grain sweetness. Some vinous twang. Light hop bitterness. Pretty smooth. Fine carbonation. Drinks under the ABV. Dry and tangy finish. Was looking forward to this but turns out it’s nothing special.

Can. Not far off a clear amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and reasonably smooth with decent superfine carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth malts, a light level of creamy sweetness. Mild caramel. A little spice in the mid. Back end is soft dried fruits, a little floral. Mild marmalade. Smooth and mildly warming finish. Pretty smooth and drinkable but quite shallow and lacking maturity. Will probably get better with age but I don't think it will ever be a classic.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 Can at home, from either CW or HOTM online, 07/01/22. Hazed golden amber with a big ole off white head that stays for the show. Nose is toffee, dates, brown sugar sprinkle, almonds, caramel, fruit esters. Taste comprises sweet malts, light spice, caramel, tangy fruit esters, Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a Decent barley wine but far from top drawer ... good balance overall and certainly not overly sweet which is a plus ... just perhaps a little overly tangy on the fruit front in places.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2022 Can from Hop Shop Aberdeen. Clear ruby body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey and cherries. Flavour of blood orange, spices and mashed strawberry. Medium to full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Very soft fizz. A tasty slow-sipper.
