UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 It pours amber and is quite clear. It has an off white head with excellent head retention. It has strong orange and citrus aromas. The orange is close to liquor like. It has strong orange flavors with some pine and grainy sweetness. It has a medium full body with some slickness in the tongue. Overall, the orange is surprisingly strong with the other elements in support.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2021 Holiday pack. Clear burnt orange and fine head. Nose is mandarin orange. Tastes of oranges, pine, grapefruit, candy. Some bitters. Tingles the throat.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2021 Can. Ruddy reddish-orange with a thin but holding head of foam. This has a big, dank, spicy aroma, hinting at funky fruits. This carries to the flavors -- juicy, but pulpy in it's over-the-top, overripe fruitiness. (#8105, 12/2021)

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2021 12 Beers of Christmas. The aroma is robust with pine and citrus hops and caramel malt. The appearance is cloudy copper with a lacy head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall strong flavorful beer but not overpowering.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2020 Dark gold pour. Thick foam. Hoppy nose. Sweet taste of wheat hops with a dry palate. Nice citrus finish.

Bought in a four pack of one pint cans a month or so ago, I am ready to give one a try. 100 plus degree weather dictates a serving as cold as possible, half the can goes into a chilled Buffalo Bayou tulip glass. First impression is positive, a deep red-orange body topped with a heroic head of off-white foam. I take a whiff, pine, pineapple, cut grass. Finally a drink. There is a light resin, lemon, mango followed by a firm bitterness. All in all, not a big presence but it does fine tonight. Three more for later. 6/6/18
