UPDATED: DEC 17, 2021 Can at home. Ruby chestnut colored brew with fine foamy head, the coloration certainly surprises me. Nose is herbal and caramel. Tastes of caramel, cherry, herbal, light euro hops. Fruity finish. Little booze.

Braudog (8154) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 8, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2021 Can. WTF is a Bavarian IPA? This is brown, thinly topped. The aroma is subtle, woodsy with a hint of piney hop. Drinks with a sweet malty base. The little kiss of hops is interesting, but this comes across as an amped up Altbier IMHO. OK. (#8106, 12/2021)

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2021 12 Beers of Christmas. The aroma is hoppy and grainy with caramel and yeast. The appearance is brown-gold with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a touch of butter. The palate is smooth with a slightly bitter finish. Overall a good beer it seems like a toasty IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2021 It pours cooper and clear with an off white head. Head retention is excellent. There are some caramel and cherry flavors up front. There are light stone fruit notes in the background with some berry elements and a hint of tropical fruits. There are some cherry flavors and stone fruit up front with caramel elements in support. There are some berry elements with very low pine. It has a medium body with moderately low bitterness in the finish. Overall, easy drinking with fruity flavors.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2021 2021 Batch from the mixed 12-pack. Attractive amber colored pour underneath a lacing-leaving cream colored head. The aroma is a traditional IPA with a nice toffee malt presence and a lower profile earthy hop presence. Nothing that penetrates my senses like a NEIPA, which is why I find it more appealing. Medium body. Sweet malts are the first thing I get in the flavor with more of an earthy or floral bitterness bringing up the rear. Sweetness and balance. Traditional.
