UPDATED: JAN 6, 2022 Can. Very black with a brown head that fizzes quickly to the rim. Aroma of dark sugars, liquorice, mocha - hint of caramel, vanilla and oak. Very sweet with much more roast and Bourbon than suggested by the aroma, some soy sauce, a little overt alcohol and nagging, somewhat piney bitterness. Not bad but rather heavy going.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2021 473 ml can from Systembolaget. Thick black with tanned head. Roasted malty with chocolate coffee and bourbon. Semi dry with medium bitterness and soft carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2021 Can 473ml. Jet black, milk chocolate coloured head, rather fizzy. Malts, liquorice, chocolate and coffee. It’s all there, but not overpowering. Slightly sweet and oaky tannins. Alcohol beautifully hidden. A beer lasting a whole evening.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2021 Can from Systembolaget. Dark malty smell with hint of bourbon. Similar taste with liqourice. Quite roasted. Not as boozy as expected even though it packs a punch.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2021 Can from Systembolaget. Viscous af pour of this one. Abv is hidden quite nicely. Did not feel the bourbon came through all that much. Decent stout.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2021 Mörkt brun öl med brunt skum. Doft och smak av choklad, kakao, alkoholsötma och lättare fattoner.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2021 Black colour with a dark crisp head, disappearing quickly. Aroma: roasted malt, dark chocolate, cacao, some vanilla, fermented plums, raisins, some molasses and bourbon. Taste: roasted malt, coffee, cacao, dark chocolate, bitter spices, bourbon. Quite thin mouthfeel, medium body. Some off-tastes.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2021 Brunsvart vätska med tunt och kaffegräddfärgat skum. Doft av rostad malt och plastig målartejp. Bygglim, nykapad rockwoll och murbruk på heldagsfuktade stålhättor avslutar det hela. Len och insmickrande smak. Vanilj, kaffe och tonkabönor. Men även inslag av havssalt. Om byggbodar möter mustiga irländare, som bor vid havskusten, är det just denna dryck de möts över.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2021 Aroma of coffee, chocolate, licorice, caramel and dark malt. Taste of dark malt, dark chocolate, dark malt, licorice and caramel.
