Ingredients: Pale, Munich and Caramunich malts; Kent Goldings hops.
This is a rich, dark, joyous brew with which to celebrate the holiday season. It’s aroma of chocolate malt and spiciness is reminiscent of the wonderful smells of holiday baking in Mom’s kitchen. Silky smooth on the palate, it’s predominantly malty, with smoky, spicy and citrusy notes and a long, lingering finish that is lightly tart and malty. Bottle conditioned for a fresh, lively taste. Round and well balanced, it’s a welcome addition for holiday tables and beyond.
Sold as King’s Blue in Norway.

one51 (1349) - - APR 10, 2021
UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 0.25 bottle, 8.1%, no idea where I got it from (back o' the fridge) but it's not even expired. Medium brown, big and very fine-bubbled head. Fat and complex malty-sweet nose, bready and nutty. The taste is really wondrous with a big and melted-together mix of light roast notes, chewy artisan bread, biscuit, brown sugar, and just a hint of the high-alcohol hidden beneath. Aftertaste is pretty neutral, light bitterness without a lot of hop flavor. Excellent Belgian!

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2021 750 ml corked and crowned bottle. Garnet colored pour. Rocky tan head starts big but dissipates to a small uneven cap. Spotty lacing. Yeasty toffeeish malt aroma. Flavor is toasted malt, dark cherries, figs and brown sugar. Some spiciness on the backend.Perhaps some cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Overall, a tasty, smooth Belgian Christmas beer.

BeerBoor90 (87) - Pescara, ITALY - JAN 10, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2021 Christmas Strong Ale. Very dark mahogany color with ruby reflections and an average and medium persistent head of hazelnut color. Aromas of caramel, sour cherries, candied fruits, red wine, pepper, cloves and vague notes of vanilla and chocolate. The taste is characterized by flavors of slightly burnt caramel, red fruits, black pepper, cloves and a constant bittersweet palate reminescent of liquorice and bitter cocoa. The body is medium-heavy, with a distinct carbonation and imperceptible alcohol. Overall a very good Strong Ale to warm up a cold winter night.
