COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Covington Brewhouse’s Anonymous IPA is the first result of a scientist and a rock ‘n roll brewmaster collaborating on the best kept secret in downtown Covington, Louisiana. Once the recipe was formulated, our brewmaster began sneaking it into events. That’s where the name anonymous came from. Questions like “what is this?” and “where can I get this?” were answered by “It’s anonymous”, creating the buzz for our “Anonymous IPA”. The beer is a blend of six different malts, six different hops and a lot of tender love and care from our brewing team. The maltiness and beautiful darker than average color comes from the Munich, Aromatic and Caramel malts with a splash of pale chocolate malt. The amazing hop flavor and aroma created by the six different hops are going to remain anonymous. So far nobody has figured them out. This brave new beer is brewed by and for innovators. Go ahead. Expect the exceptional. We think you’ll like what’s brewing.

On tap at Beer Fest on Bourbon Street. Deep golden and slight hazy appearance with a fluffy, lingering beige head. Aroma of toasted grain, piney hops and light resin. Similar flavor, adding moderate hop bitterness and a light grainy sweetness. Medium body with a gritty feel and a light dry finish. OK.

Bottle for IPA Day 2016. Clear amber orange color with a large head response. Big frothy white head. Dry malty aroma, grassy leafy notes. Light amount of hops and grains. Flavor is dry malts and grains. High hop bitterness. Some citrus notes but faint. Finishes very dry and bitter.

Cajun (609) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - JUN 24, 2016
12oz bottle - Pours copper with thick white head. Typical IPA aroma, citrusy, with hints of malted grain, fermented bread; floral. But really lacking flavor. Same flavors as aroma, but watery... bland. Disappointed.

Nice aroma and nice head. The rest is down hill from here. Thin watery and no mouthfeel. Not enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Rouse’s NOLA. Overall an okay IPA. Maybe a little malt forward and leaning towards a touch sweet/syrupy but still decent bitterness. Okay.
