COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer began as a celebration of our January anniversary, but it is now being incorporated into a year round offering. We use an assortment of crystal malts and throw a little Belgian Candi into the Brew Kettle to give a hearty maltiness. Dry hopping with American Hops gives this English style a refreshing American twist. Be cautious with this beer as overindulgence can result in the shit hitting the fan.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2019 355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold-orange with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, dried fruit, orange rind and toffee. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, Belgian Candi Sugar, dried fruit, grapefruit rind, pine and spice in a dry, bitter, boozy finish. Full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, a good sipper.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2018 Can split at CBC Covent Garden, thanks to LKS, 20/11/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a big old off white head. Nose is dusty hop, bitter orange, caramel, straw, light dungy notes. Taste comprises fruit cake, caramel, spice, biscuit crumbs, light booze, stewed fruits. Bitter tropical and citrus fruits, orange and lemon peel, floral notes, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Quite funky for a Barley Wine. Can shared at CBC tasting - thanks to Leighton!

Can shared in in London - picked up at Offie & Toffee. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy white cap. The nose is long on brett, poo. Light sweet flavour with more dominant brett, some diaper, ripe citrus, melon, faint grass. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Dry finish, lightly warming, more heavy brett funk, citrus peel. Probably unintentionally funky, but this is great fun.

Craft TCR Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for the can. Hazy gold beer, good size pale cream colour head. Softish palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light and sweetish malts, little dry cream. Crisp and slightly savoury brett. Mellow floral dried fruits on the back end. Light dry crisp finish. Curious for the style but quite tasty.

Can at the Ute and Yeti. Pours a dark, orange color, with a small, fizzy, tan head. The nose is butter toffee, apricot, rye bread, black pepper, pine sap, and dust. Nice and malty, with a sharp bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a sticky, lightly astringent mouthfeel. This is a malt-forward, sharp, and surprisingly balanced barley wine. Enjoyable.
