UPDATED: SEP 20, 2019 Bought at Smart Time Food for $8.99, St. Bretta is a citrus wildbier fermented in oak foeders crafted by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project. The scent of oranges, lemon, and funk are felt upon the nose. The appearance is an orange amber with a minimal white head. The alcohol content is 5.5%. A citrus, sour, and tart bite of lemon and oranges greet you followed by an acidic overture on the mouthfeel. As the sour and tart mellows, the orange flavor shifts into a juicy blood orange bouquet. Lemon provides an underlying, smooth tone. Brettanomyces yeast delivers a moderate funk to the blood orange profile and slightly dries the finish. Clove peppers the comprehension and compliments the lemon and funky yeast complexion. Oak accents the lemon and acidic characters. St. Bretta is a ravishing citrus wildbier. The pungent Brettanomyces to the blood orange, lemon, and acidity combine into an outstanding sour ale. The citrus, sour, and tart take is puckering in the beginning and vibrant. The blood oranges and Brettanomyces blend beautifully together. I loved drinking this brew and cherished every single drink. UPDATED: JUL 16, 2019 Batch 2, 2013. Going on 6 years old! Pours a hazy pale gold with one heck of a nice head of foam, lacing is very good. The smell has an awesome Brett presence, oak and some citrus. And tartness. All 4 components in the smell are in the taste with the citrus coming through on the milder side. And this sure is dry! Tartness is what I would call, at an easy to cope with level. Body is on the lower side of medium and the carbonation is lively but in a good way. Yikes! I dig this!

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2019 (On tap) Cloudy yellow gold with thin white head. Pleasant aroma - fruity with floral and bret notes. Medium body with plenty of bright carbonation. Tart, fruity with earthy and peppery notes. Good and refreshing.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2019 Oklar ljusgul med tunt vitt skum. Doftar syrligt, apelsin och citron. Smaken fyllig, syrlig, lite fruktig. Eftersmaken lång med syrliga toner, något tunn och torr på slutet.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2019 A hazed blonde saison with a thin lacing creamy white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of Brett, ground cherries, curacao, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett and grapeskin, coriander, light perfumy notes, nice and smooth. On tap at Ottawa winter brewfest 2019.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2019 Can in the Head of Steam in Newcastle. Hazy blond with a white head. Big Brett aroma. The taste has lots of Brett. Banana, bread and hay.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is fresh yeast, wheat, yoghurt, orange indeed, a bit farty. Taste is fresh wheat, grassy hops, blood orange a bit, tart finish. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good!

Keg at beaverfest. Pours hazy golden, nose is funk, oak, little burnt rubber, taste is tart, juicy fruit, oak.

Tap at BeaverEx2018, London. Color is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, orange and some sourness.
