Bottle from Tavour... Pitch black in color, low carbonation.... Slick oily pour, aroma of almonds, hazelnuts, cocoa nibs, dark chocolate... UPDATED: DEC 30, 2019 Black with mocha head. Big hazelnut nose, close to over the top but very enjoyable. Flavor has barrel, LOTS of nuts, coffee, roast, lil sweet.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2019 Black, minimal head. Dessert beer. Tons of hazelnut and vanilla up front, then comes the bourbon, then comes the chewiness from super thick viscosity of it all. Share a bottle with your pals.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2019 Black with almost no head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, caramel, oak, vanilla, alcohol, soy, barrel, nuts. Full bodied, hot, malt dominated with chocolate and alcohol, soy and roast also present with moderate barrel presence. Yes, it has some Evil Twin type notes to it but it's overly hot and not all that complex for the price. 3.6/5, not great, not terrible.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2019 Bottle sampled in line at Wolfstock on 9/28/19. Pours darkest brown with a medium light brown head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, hazelnut, almond, vanilla and bourbon. Malty and chocolatey flavor with dark fruit accents before a nutty and boozy finish.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2019 Pours coffee with thin buff head. Aroma delivers roast malt, coffee, chocolate, woody and earthy notes. Flavor gives chocolate, molasses, roast malt, nutty and earthy tones. Texture offers firm, viscous and smooth body with fair fizz. Steeeeeerike!
