UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Pecan, malt, and dry hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Mildly sweet pecan, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Body on the light side.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2020 Can pour, dark brown. Smells like Duncan Hines chocolate cupcakes. Light bodied with notes of milk chocolate cocoa and vanilla.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2020 Found out of can. Pours a heavy dark with a off tan foam. German chocolate aroma. Really improves as it warms. Great mix of flavors.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2019 Can shared from Bob. Pours black with a nice tan head. Chocolate and dark malt aroma. Taste is sweet milk chocolate and toffee with dark malt flavors. Also some pecan nuts and coconut. Nice thickness to this.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2019 Near black with ample khaki head. I dig the stout and barrels. The coconut and pecan are cool too, but both come across as just a bit fake.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2018 16 oz. can. 8.0 ABV. Pours a clear deep mahogany color with a small, tight beige head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Rich dark chocolate aroma. Similar taste. Very dark roasted base flavor with a very dark chocolate finish. Not bitter, and not too sweet either. Smooth, almost flat mouthfeel makes it easy to drink. Very little coconut and pecan flavors. The 8.0 ABV is undetectable. Really good stuff.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 A very good approximation of a German chocolate cake, with lots of deep dark chocolate character layered with coconut and a bit of roast. Medium bodied with some chalkiness and a light tang in the finish. Dark brown pour, and lots of beige lace.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2018 Draft at Sanford Brewing. Pours very dark reddish brown color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and coconut. Roasted malt and chocolate flavors with hints of vanilla, coconut, and oak. Medium body with average carbonation.
